The Diploma in Singapore Business Law aims to provide an understanding of the legal framework of the Singapore legal system and the complex legal background in which businesses operate.
The Diploma curriculum focuses on the key legal principles relating to contract law, company and commercial law which has significant functions in most areas of businesses.
The course is popular with business owners, managers, executives and supervisors in the private and public sectors who are required to make decisions on contracts, commercial and compliance matters in order to take innovative risks that will produce highly desired business results.
You do not need to have legal knowledge to attend this course.
WHY STUDY THIS?
There are about 30 new bills passed by the Singapore government every year. This only makes any legal matters more complex, accounting for even higher legal costs in the future.
As legal costs sky-rocket, more people are representing themselves as litigants-in-person for simple matters before the court. The Singapore legal system has also been rapidly changing to accommodate companies who can now represent themselves even in High Court cases by obtaining leave of court under Order 1 rule 9(2) of the Rules of Court.
The Diploma in Singapore Business Law has been designed to meet the needs of a wide range of students and a formal course in law is essential for every manager, executive and business owner.
If you are seeking to enhance your present career or exploring opportunities for a new career direction, the Diploma course will provide you with an insight into the Singapore legal system and valuable skills in legal drafting and research.
Flexible part-time study options allow you to accommodate work and family commitments, while studying for your new future.
The Course is conducted over 6 months followed by an exam preparation workshop before final exams.
