FEE PROTECTION SCHEME
Under the Enhanced Registration Framework requirements by the Council for Private Education, Stansfield Law School has put in place the industry wide fee protection scheme that ensures that the unconsumed course fees paid by students to the School are insured by Liberty Insurance Pte Ltd (Policy No: IWC009Y17) a CPE-appointed service provider. The insurance protection serves to protect the students’ fees in the event a private education institution (PEI) is unable to continue operations due to insolvency, and/or regulatory closure.
The Council for Private Education (CPE) has stipulated that all Private Education Institutions (PEIs) must sign a standard PEI-Student Contract with students. The contract lays out the important terms and conditions governing the relationship between the student and Stansfield Law School.
The Standard Student Contract clearly states the following:
- Date of commencement and completion of each intake/course
- Scheduled holidays
- Examinations and/or assignment dates for each intake/course
- Name of organisation awarding/conferring the results and certificates
- Fee collection schedule
- Withdrawal, transfer & refund policy
The contract is available in few languages and the details can be verified from www.cpe.gov.sg.
